Her background includes working as a personal assistant for a renowned music supervisor in a high-pressure, detail-oriented fashion. She later applied those skills in the beauty industry, in two prestigious West End salons, where she worked as a front desk coordinator. At Mar Beauty Lounge, Maria Jose ensures everything runs smoothly and every client feels cared for from the moment they walk in.

With nearly two decades of experience, Marjorie has joined forces with her colleague Maria Jose Cordero to establish Mar Beauty Lounge, the premier destination for sustainable nail care in Washington. Drawing from her 15+ years of experience as a licensed nail technician in Maryland and DC, Marjorie has developed a suite of cutting-edge techniques and services centered on innovative waterless manicures and pedicures — providing unparalleled levels of client relaxation and satisfaction.
